In 2006, singer/songwriter Mark Hall of the GRAMMY Award-winning Contemporary Christian group Casting Crowns sensed a need to go even deeper with his teaching ministry. His songs and his onstage stories seemed to meet people right where they were. But he knew he had much more to say.

A brainstorming session with fellow pastor Tim Luke, a former sportswriter who covered the Atlanta Braves, sparked ideas that led to "Lifestories." The book details the stories behind the songs on Casting Crowns' first two CDs. That was the first of six books co-authored by Mark and Tim that have met with rave critical reviews for their compelling stories and plainspoken wisdom and depth.
